Horse Breeds Enamel Pin Series: Every pin in this series was inspired by popular horse breeds and their origins. The Icelandic Horse was developed by Norse settlers in Iceland during the 9th century. This pony-sized breed is a "five-gaited" breed. Besides the normal three gaits for horses, the Icelandic horse also has a gait called a "tölt" and a pace called a "flugskeið" (meaning Flying Pace).
