Horse Breeds Enamel Pin Series: Every pin in this series was inspired by popular horse breeds and their origins. The Friesian Horse originated in the Netherlands. Mentions of the graceful black horses being used in war date back to the 4th century. They were especially popular in 18th century Netherlands and Spain as carriage horses. Some Friesian lines were created to be lighter and faster during this time.
